Ronaldo, Injures Knee again, Milan Vs Livorno, R9

Last night in a Serie A match against Livorno, Ronaldo suffered a serious knee injury.

Coming on for Gilardino on the 57th minute and moments after coming on, suffered seems to be a very serious injury. Ronaldo fell awkwardly while challenging the ball in the air with Jose Vidigal.
Reports confirm that Ronaldo has indeed ruptured his right knee and could face up to nine months on the sidelines.

Coach Carlo Ancelloti was understandably concerned over his star striker "I don't want to say it's the end of his career because only time can decide"

Livorno Goalkeeper Marco Amelia said
"I heard a horrible sound, like a bang, it was a strange sound," who was close by when Ronaldo fell to the ground.

Silvio Berlusconi was more optimistic on Ronaldo's condition commenting 'He still has an extraordinary physique. I'm confident in some months time he can return to be the player we all know"

To compound Milan's misery, they still lie 19 points adrift of leaders Inter, and without star striker Ronaldo for forseeable future, they face a near impossible task to win Serie A.
